Hi Michael, I like this but also have a suggestion. According to AI, 11% of Americans identify as either atheist or agnostic. Using the term "God" when discussing New Thought might lose some readers. I personally want you, a wonderfully creative vegan activist, to get as many eyes on your articles as possible. Darwin himself was critical of supernatural explanations and British biologist Douglas Adams said:
"Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?"
This line appeared in Adams' book The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series.
Thanks so much for reading and for the thoughtful feedback. I really appreciate your support and your suggestion.
You're right, words like “God” can be loaded for a lot of people. In New Thought, I use it to mean something bigger than us, like consciousness, love, or creative energy, not the old man in the sky idea. But I totally get that the word can turn some folks away, especially those who lean more toward science or reason.
I’ll definitely keep this in mind going forward and may use words like “Source” or “Life” more often to help more people connect with the message.
