The dairy and meat industries are deeply interconnected. Dairy cows are repeatedly impregnated to produce milk, with male calves often sold for veal or beef. Once dairy cows’ milk production declines, they're typically slaughtered for low-grade beef. Economically, dairy farms rely on selling animals to the meat industry to offset costs, creating a cycle that drives both industries. This link also amplifies environmental harm and animal suffering, as both sectors rely on exploitation. Recognizing this connection reveals that milk and meat are products of the same system of exploitation.
